| Report: | A great night at Stortford including a few thrillers!
Dylan won 3–2 in a ding-dong battle with Ben. So much back and forth, you’d think they were playing on a travelator!
Louis narrowly lost 3–2 after fighting back from 2 down. A brilliant comeback, sadly let down by the inconvenient business of having to win the fifth game.
Rory cruised to a 3–0 win, using all his experience to outwit his younger opponent. Who needs youthful legs when you can just put the ball where they aren’t?
Nick won 3–2 despite unable to twist and turn, you'd have thought he was stuck in a straightjacket. How he won is anyone’s guess, but the scoreboard doesn’t lie!
Cullen wrapped things up with a 3–0 win, using youthful energy to run his tricky opponent into the ground. Enjoy it while it lasts, Cullen — one day you’ll expand to playing like Rory!
Final score: Stortford 4–1 Tring. A great start to the season, even if there was barely anyone there for the food of which the supporters managed to have plenty! |
