Round 2 of 2024 and another 5-0 win for the mighty seconds, as the Stortford charabanc careers uncontrollably onwards crushing all before it. A welcome return for #1 Matt, albeit a rather cumbersome, torpid and slightly less svelte version. Another controlled and measured performance by the swashbuckling Ambrose, proving once again that form is temporary class is permanent. Victory for Paul "Slash & Burn" Stevens bamboozling his lacklustre oppo into submission with machiavellian manoeuvres. Not one of Pete's finest displays, although he did eventually grind out the 'W' against his older, fatter, slower, shorter, balder opponent. Finally Nii drove the bus home with a display of consummate skill and guile with the odd leisure centre boast thrown in for good measure. Chili, rather "soupy" but good heat, onion, unevenly chopped and slippery, beans, nicely shaped with good colour, not sure cheese benefits from chili though good use of soured cream and corriander to mask deficiencies. Berko left deflated but fully satiated with their thirst slaked. |
